What Is Good for People...

...is not good for the planet. And therefore not good for people.

Human beings are the head, and the rest of life is the body that takes care of itself by what we call instinct. Even bugs find each other to made. Even penguins and sparrows nurture their young. It all gets along pretty well. There's a lot of pain, but there's not a lot of memory of pain. Most baby ducks die, get eaten as eggs or chicks. Only a small percentage grown up and reproduce, and there's scant reason to think that the fittest survive. The survivors survive. (The fittest have only a slightly better change of surviving than the average, a less better chance than the lucky.) But they survive. Dinosaurs lived for millions of years. We were just born and our superior brain is killing everything and us.

Our bodies have the systems to care for themselves: respiration is voluntary or involuntary. Most of us have sex on compulsion at some point in our lives. All the governments and all the churches with prison and whipping and hanging and hell could not stop it. Regulation of desire works only somewhat, only sometimes.
