The God of Love's Indifference

 What if God isn't interested in whether or not you believe in him. What if all God is interested in is whether you act as you would act if you did? 

What if God isn't interested in whether your actions promote or undermine the current order of society--contra appeasement Paul, but whether your actions tend to install the Kingdom of God?

What if you talk to God not because you believe in God, not because you believe God hears you or acts in response to what you say, but because it's good to give form to your thoughts, because it's helpful to imagine a perfect audience against whose ears you will not, because you cannot get away with it, dissemble? Because only by talking to God can you get out of your own way, can you experience the pressure that enforces you to formulate the best you can think?
